A timely stage in the New Build project was reached in March 2019. For three years we had diligently answered all of the questions St Albans District Council had asked of us. We had amassed some forty documents which collectively demonstrated our fitness to run a community centre. The Trustees will continue to be a responsible community body for the authority to hand over the freehold of the site and its building to. The Fleetville Trustees are a charitable trust that oversees the development of the whole new build project .
So it was a major milestone when Mike Neighbour, Lead on the New Build Development Project, visited the District Council offices with trustee Faye Penford and handed over what we have come to know as The Green Folderto Head of Communities Joe Tavernier.
The Council will now consider our application for Transfer of Assets. under the Localism Act (2011)
